Michał Rot (born in 1988) began his musical education in the age of 5 under Irina Gajewaja instruction. Since he was 12 he has become a student of Cezary Sanecki (Rector of Piano Department in Music Academy in Łódź) in Secondary Music School in Częstochowa, which he graduated with distinction in 2007 and later in Music Academu in Łódź, which also had finished with distinction in 2012. In school year 2009/2010 he studied in Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst in Stuttgart and Mannheim by great musicians: Andrzej Ratusiński, Michael Flaksman and Jelena Očić. As well he studied Liedbegleitung with Ulrich Eisenlohr. Presently he is a pupil of great Lieder master Olaf Bär.  He improved his skills under such a great musicians like: Paul Badura-Skoda, Dang Thai-Son, Paul Gulda, Elza Kolodin, Peter Efler, Eduardo Hubert, Andrzej Jasiński, Jonathan Zak, Bronisława Kawalla, Maria Schreiber, Maria Claude, Oleg Krimer, Jose Gallardo, Tadeusz Chmielewski, Alexander Bonduriansky.  He is a laureate of many solo and chamber music competitions. Only in 2010 he got 2nd prize and special prize for best interpretation of contemporary piece written by polish composer on XVII International Chamber Music Competition in Łódź, on XVIII International Johannes Brahms Competition in Pörtschach he got a special prize for Best Pianist in category Lied. He has represented Poland on International meeting of ECMTA, inaugurate Chopin Year in Stuttgart. He took part in festivals like: “Ascoli Piceno Festival”, “Heidelbergerkammermusikfestival”, “Hudobna Kubynska Jesen”, “Gaude Mater”, “Presentations – Żelazowa Wola”, “Sierpień Talentów”, “Classic Tea”, “Łódzkie Schumanniana” and many others. He collaborate with musicians like: Michael Flaksman, Jerzy Salwarowski, Tomasz Daroch, Jerzy Swoboda, Robert Bachara, Stanisław Kierner, Szymon Komasa, Patrycja Słomczyńska, Aleksandra Szwejkowska - Belica. Artist has made many recordings, for example Schubert’s “Winterreise” with a baritone Stanisław Kierner (DUX), conterporary polish works for violin and piano with Aleksandra Szwejkowska-Belica, film music etc. Since 2007 Michał works in a duo with cellist Krzysztof Karpeta and in a Liedduo with his wife Joanna Rot. He received scholarships from Minister of Culture and President of city Częstochowa. Michał is an assistant at the Music Academy in Łódź.
