Anna Gburek graduated from Academy of Music in Katowice (Poland). She studied the piano with Wojciech Switala and Anna Malikova, as well as chamber music with Maria Szwajger- Kulakowska and Altenberg Trio. She participated in many masterclasses working with artists like Dang Thai Son, Anthony Spiri, Andrzej Jasinski.

 

Anna was invited for festivals: Podium Festival in Haugesund (Norway), Festival Pablo Casals in Prades (France), Festival Culturel International de Musique Symphonique in Alger (Algeria), Ensemble Festival in Ksiaz (Poland), Chopin Festival in Zelazowa Wola, Chamber Music Festival „Contrasts” in Katowice.

 

Since 2010 she works in duo with cellist Adam Krzeszowiec. In 2013 they were awarded 1st prize  in the category Chamber music and 1st prize amongst all categories at Premio Citta di Padova competition in Padua (Italy). They also received honourable mention at Duo Competition with cellist in Warsaw.

 

She was also awarded the first prize with piano trio at International Chamber Music Festival in Olesnica (Poland) and she was finalist of chamber music competitions in: Illzach (France), Gdansk and Lodz (Poland).

 

Recently she works as a accompanist at the Karol Szymanowski Music Academy in Katowice and Stanislaw Moniuszko Music School in Zabrze.
